About Atlantic Pools Victoria

The Ray family entered the pool industry in Victoria in 1996. The first major expansion came in 1999 when they purchased Paveland, a specialist Paving retail business that had been operating for over 20 years.

Over the next few years they amalgamated the paving and pool skills to develop a unique specialist pool business.

Not satisfied with the quality and cost of the fibreglass pool brands in the Victorian Market, three Melbourne fibreglass pool builders started searching for a better more cost effective product.

As a result of that National search In 2008 Omega introduced the Atlantic range to the Victorian Market and established Atlantic Pools Victoria.

Word soon spread in the industry and in the first year of operation attracted a number of quality Pool Builders looking for the same thing as Omega.

Within the first 12 months, 10 pool Builders have elected to market the Atlantic Range making Atlantic the fastest growing and the biggest builder network in Victoria.

The attraction of Atlantic to these builders, many have been distributing other brands for many years, is testament to the Atlantic advantage and will give many purchases added confidence in this product.

Omega is a Registered Building Practitioner, Master Builder and accredited SPASA Member.

All staff are fully accredited by SPASA.

The Team.

Ivan Ray Managing Director

Heading the team after a 30 year Policing career. Retirement watching the daisies grow, was not Ivan’s cup of tea. The challenge of owning and operating a small business was too much of a temptation. “Managing a small business is not as great a difference to managing Police resources as one might think. It is still people, budgets and resources.

Joy Ray Financial Controller

Joy also thought retirement might be a bit dull and was easily lured by Ivan to join the company. Joy successfully completed a career in the sports clothing industry and brought to Omega the efficiency and attention to detail that her previous career required. Whilst Joy focuses on the company administration she has undertaken substantial training culminating in recently completing the inaugural Advanced Water Chemistry training course at SPASA. Ensuring that Omega remains at the forefront of the industry in ability when it comes to managing your pool or spa.

“I think that the safety focus on swimming pools in the form of Pool Fencing is very important and the campaigns have reduced Child deaths substantially, but I am concerned that with that emphasis many pool owners have lost focus on the safety of the pool water. If my family gets in a pool I want to know it is safe. That’s why I have focused on making Omega an industry leader in providing the right advice to pool owners for their peace of mind and their families safety. The ability to build Atlantic pools with the addition of Microban gives me great confidence that we can help keep families safe,” said Joy

Adam Ray Construction Manager

Adam Ray came into the business with his brother Simon in 1998. Adam is a qualified ‘A‘ grade Electrician and initially focused on the Paveland business becoming an experienced Paver and Landscaper. With the growth of Pool Building in the business, Adams skills have become a valuable asset, helping clients achieve an outcome converting their dream into a reality within their budget.

“A swimming pool can be a hugely positive addition to any family but the key is, it must be designed correctly to maximise the benefit and the contribution that the pool can make to the quality of life of the whole family. The construction process needs to be as seamless as possible with the minimum disruption to the family. I focus on making your dream a reality, ” Adam said.

Sandra Ray Retail/Admin

The commitment to her customers is legendary. When a problem occurs Sandra just lifts the bar. Sandra is absolutely tenacious when it comes to her commitment to her customers and many a supplier has regretted the day they failed to meet the expectations of one of her customers.

“I have had a pool of my own for many years and I understand the frustrations that pool owners can be faced with. I only wish that the Omega Team had been around with their depth of knowledge and patience when I first started looking after my pool. Although I am proud of the way my pool has been over the years I would have gained that outcome far quicker and with a lot less grief if Omega had been around 20 years ago. ” Sandra said.
